If you feel like you’re living in the chaosphere with your music production, destroy erase improve and change it up. In Amp Room, you use these cabinets to create patches that would be difficult or impossible achieve with physical gear.

"These Marshall cabs are absolutely amazing. So much history and so much variety. It was really easy to dial in a great sound on all of them, but it was really hard to choose which mic setups to use because they all sounded great! Whatever kind of music you play or produce, I know you will be able to find what you are looking for with these 8 cabs. Here’s an example for you: after having recorded these cabs, my since-then go-to cab for bass guitar is the 1x12"! Who would’ve known!?"

Daniel Bergstrand

Producer (Behemoth, Meshuggah, In Flames)

What's included?

Just like Amp Room, Marshall Cabinet Collection is for the guitar and bass connoisseur who can tell the difference between good sounds and great sounds. It includes a versatile collection of 8 different 4x12, 2x12 and 1x12 Marshall cabinets. Each one has 6 microphone options that capture the true sound of the cabinets plus 6 unique mix-ready microphone combinations per cabinet.  Here are the details of the cabs.

Marshall B 4x12”

A classic straight cab in black tolex with the W sound you know and love. It comes with a wide variety of mix-ready options from which to quickly achieve a great sound.

Marshall BV 4x12”

A W vintage cab that’s a combination of the enclosure and vintage aural characteristics of a model. Use it for a warmer tone and a range from a well-rounded high-end punch to a low-end thump.

Marshall AX 4x12”

Get great a mid-range punch with beautifully detailed highs with this G12M Greenback-powered W cab. The speakers gently break up the sound giving the overdrive more depth.

Marshall HW 4x12”

A hand-wired retro-sounding W cab for a total 60s experience. Use this for a tight low-end, great mid-range punch, and stunning highs, and it’s also effective for modern high-gain use.

Marshall 2x12”

A W cab with two G12T Vintage speakers for a softened high-end response and higher gain tones. Like all of the cabs in this collection, it comes with a wide variety of mix-ready options for microphone combinations.

Marshall V 2x12”

A W cab with two G12 Vintage speakers for classic Marshall tones. This cab is especially versatile and works for a lot of different styles.

Marshall 1x12”

This small but mighty cab packs a W punch with its G12B speaker. Great for bass as well as guitar due to its richness of lower frequencies.

Marshall CX 1x12” Open Back

A hand-soldered 20W cabinet with a single 12” G12M Greenback. A cab from the 60s that adapts very well to modern demands.

How we captured the Marshall sound so perfectly

Many recording engineers and producers would argue that the capturing of the speaker cabinet is the biggest part of a guitar sound. Many would also agree on that it’s hard to capture the sound and energy of a guitar speaker cabinet.

To accomplish this, we went to Dugout Productions studio, owned and managed by Daniel Bergstrand, a record producer famous for his amazing guitar sounds. Daniel recorded these 8 Marshall cabinets with 6 different microphones capturing the true sound of the cabinets in the best possible way. He also created 6 mix-ready microphone combinations, unique for each cabinet to allow for many options to achieve the very best sound for any style or genre.

Exclusive to Amp Room

Marshall Cabinet Collection is the first Amp Room exclusive expansion, with more to come. If you already own Amp Room, you definitely need these cabs.

Amp Room is the pro audio guitar and bass platform, designed with sound quality as top priority. It’s just like having a real amplifier with a miked up speaker cabinet in a high-end studio – with the added convenience of more options to patch in any kind of studio tool you need anywhere in the chain.

The cabs in the Marshall Cabinet Collection will sound amazing out of the box with any amplifier in Amp Room, and it’s very easy to switch microphone options and toggle between cabinets if you need to.

Softube & Marshall: A partnership based on sound quality

Softube’s first prototype was a hardware DSP box running a Marshall amp model and a loudspeaker model. This attracted Marshall’s interest and led to a successful long-term partnership between Softube and Marshall. Softube is Marshall’s exclusive software partner, and Amp Room comes with the only amps and cabs available in software form that are officially licensed and endorsed by Marshall.

All Softube products require a computer with appropriate DAW host software (none of which are included).

Versions from and newer of the Softube plug-ins have the following minimum requirements:

    All native versions

    • Mac OS X or newer (older OS versions will not work)
    • Windows 10 bit (older Windows versions may work but are not tested)
    • Mac: Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 / Xeon - M1 support pending
    • Windows: Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 / Xeon / AMD Quad-Core or newer
    • Screen resolution larger than x
    • 8 GB RAM or more is recommended, as well as at least 8 GB hard disk space for installation (individual plug-ins take less space, while sample libraries may require additional disk space. Specific information available on each instrument’s page).
    • Softube account
    • iLok account
    • Internet access for downloading installers and managing licenses
    • iLok generation 2 and up, if you intend to use an iLok key for authorizing your plug-ins (note that a physical iLok USB key is not a requirement)
    • In theory, any bit VST, VST3, AU, or AAX (Pro Tools or higher) compatible host application should work.

However, due to plug-in host differences between DAWs - and our own rigorous testing standards - we only officially test our plug-ins and instruments in the most recent versions of Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, Ableton Live, Studio One, Reaper and Cakewalk. Softube plugins are not tested in non-listed systems, but they most likely work as long as the system requirements are met. We cannot guarantee a solution for issues in unsupported systems.

Note: Softube plug-ins support bit hosts only, and a bit OS is required.

Note: With regards to the different VST formats, we strongly recommend using VST3 as some of our plug-ins have features that are not present in the older VST formats.

Supported sample rates: , 48, , 96, and kHz, in both mono and stereo.

The most recent maintenance release of your DAW application is recommended. AAX DSP is not currently in active development. TDM/VENUE are no longer supported (old downloads are available on the Legacy Installers page)

Marshall AV 4X12 W Vintage 30 Slanted Cabinet

Marshall AV 4X12 W Vintage 30 Slanted Cabinet

Marshall is the only choice for serious musicians. Nothing compares to Marshall cabinets in terms of awesome tone and projection. Both visually and aurally, Marshall 4x12 cabs are indeed "the business."

Great sound and looks however are not everything. Many years of experience mean that their speaker cabinets are also built to stand the test of time. Highly skilled craftsmen construct them from the finest quality materials with precision corner locked joints, tough cotton backed PVC covering, heavy-duty hardware, and the highest-quality fittings.

The Marshall Stack

If one thing personifies the image of rock 'n' roll more than anything else it's the Marshall 4x Though often imitated, nothing compares with the original. The first 4x12 cab was designed and built by Jim Marshall in Since then Marshall has made many thousands, which have appeared on stages both large and small all over the world.

After the initial success of the Marshall 4x12, it wasn't too long before they designed and built the first stack, where an angled cabinet sits on top of a straight fronted cab, with the amplifier placed on top. This came about after discussions with Pete Townshend of The Who. Pete and Jim Marshall sat down and discussed The Who's requirements for an 8x12 cab with an angled top. This was designed and built, but due to this awesome cab being somewhat cumbersome, only six were ever made.

As a result, Marshall came up with the more practical idea of stacking an angled cab on top of a straight fronted model. Thus the famous Marshall stack was born. What happened to the six 8x12 cabs, you ask? Well, 2 went to Pete Townshend, 2 went to John Entwhistle and the remaining 2 went to the Small Faces. The Marshall stack on the other hand has stayed in production ever since and has gone on to become the most recognizable rock 'n' roll icon.

As Marshall invented the stack, Marshall 4x12's are the only true originals. Everything else is merely an imitation.

Heavy-duty castors are fitted as standard to all Marshall full size 4x12's to ensure that these cabinets are ready to roll without rocking.

No sharp metal edges or rough fittings - the smooth ABS plastic Marshall corner fits perfectly and offers excellent protection to all eight cabinet corners.

The highest quality woodwork includes the 'corner locking' of each and every joint. This helps give Marshall cabinets the incredible strength and durability, which has become as legendary as the Marshall sound itself.

Heavy-duty Grab Handles are fitted to all Marshall cabinets. Their tough, ergonomic recessed casing design gives easy access to the bar of the handle without affecting the cabinet's smooth lines.

Performance Warranty Banner

Protect your investment with the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty

A warranty can be a very important factor when making a buying decision. Because repairs can be very expensive in terms of parts and labour costs, manufacturers usually only provide one year limited warranties that generally only cover items that malfunction due to a manufacturer’s defect. With an important purchase such as a musical
instrument or piece of studio gear, however, many people want to have the peace of mind in knowing that their investment will be protected should the product no longer be performing at %.

Because of this, Long & McQuade provides our customers with a FREE one-year Performance Warranty on most of our products. The Long & McQuade Performance Warranty supplements the manufacturer’s warranty to ensure that our customers receive complete “no hassle” warranty coverage within their first year.

How does the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty differ from most manufacturers' warranties?
  • Performance Guarantee: Normal wear and tear is covered, so your product will be performing as well as the day you purchased it for the entire duration of the coverage. Band and Orchestral Performance Warranty does not include replacing pads or cleaning for woodwind instruments, unless deemed necessary by our repair staff. Ultrasonic cleaning for brass instruments will be provided if deemed necessary by our repair staff, but is not routinely offered under the Performance Warranty.
  • Product Replacement: If your product cannot be fixed or costs too much to fix, we will replace it with the equivalent model for no additional charge. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
  • No Lemon Policy: Your product will be replaced should the same problem occur multiple times.
  • Convenient: Easy drop off and pick up of the product at any Long & McQuade location.
  • Guitar Setup: Guitars purchased at Long & McQuade come with 1 free setup, to be redeemed within 1 year for new guitars and 90 days for used guitars.
  • Loaners Available: A loaner product may be given while the product is being repaired.
  • Power Surge Protection: Your product is covered even if damaged from a power surge.
  • Accessory Coverage: Any peripheral devices or accessories that come with your product (i.e. foot pedal, case) are also covered.
  • Commercial Use Coverage: Music and recording professionals who purchase gear for “heavy-use” commercial purposes will still be covered.

Long & McQuade reserves the right to restrict the purchase of additional years of Performance Warranty. Used products come with a 3-month Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Some products (i.e. computers, software, cymbals and other items) are covered only by the manufacturer‘s warranty. Consumables (i.e. strings, reeds, woodwind pads, drum sticks, batteries, tubes, cross faders) are excluded as they are designed to be replaced. Cosmetic Damage, Accidental Damage, or problems caused by Humidity or Temperature Issues are not covered. Speakers damaged by overpowering are generally not covered. Our coverage does not provide compensation for loss of use. As of June the Performance Warranty is no longer transferable. The warranty is only valid in Canada.

Purchasing additional years of coverage

Some manufacturers provide warranties for longer than 1 year; however, these are usually limited warranties that do not provide the same coverage as the Long & McQuade Performance Warranty. Customers interested in more complete and convenient (but not necessarily longer) coverage are still able to purchase additional years of the Performance Warranty.

If you are interested in receiving this coverage for longer than one year, you have the option of purchasing additional years of the Performance Warranty. The pricing is as follows:

  • NEW products: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year.
  • USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year. Pricing for used electronic products is 4% of the original new selling price.
  • GUITARS: 4% of the current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years. 4% for each additional year. $45 maximum. An additional free setup is not included with additional purchased years of Performance Warranty.
  • BAND and ORCHESTRAL instruments: $40 flat rate up to $2, of current new selling price to double the warranty from 1 year to 2 years.
  • BRASS and STRINGS: 2% of the current new selling price above $2,
  • WOODWINDS: 4% of the current new selling price above $2,
